Last Year, the Trustees of Ahtna Hwt’aene (People’s) Trust agreed to provide two dividend distributions per year. Today, the Trustees have declared the second Shareholder dividend distribution for the year of $9.30 per share. The distribution will be made to all shareholders of record as of October 28, 2024. This distribution is in addition to the distribution of $6 per share that was distributed in April for the Summer dividend distribution.

In addition, the fourth quarterly Elder dividend distributions of $875 per eligible Elder as of October 28, 2024, was declared for a total of $3,500 in 2024. Since 2009, an Elder distribution has been provided to original Ahtna shareholders that are aged 62 and older.

Distributions are scheduled to be direct deposited on November 22. On average, direct deposits usually take one to three business days to clear. Checks will be mailed on December 6 and received a few days later per regular mail delivery.

The Shareholder and Elder distributions are both non-taxable to the Shareholders.
