Ahtna, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of a new certificate-based scholarship program aimed at supporting shareholders pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship is specifically designed for those enrolled in Occupational Endorsement Certificate (OEC) programs at accredited institutions.
The certificate-based scholarship is an exciting addition to Ahtna’s educational support initiatives. Unlike traditional scholarships that often focus on degree programs, this non-vocational scholarship provides financial assistance to shareholders seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge through OEC programs. These programs offer specialized training and certification, helping participants gain valuable competencies in a shorter timeframe compared to traditional degree pathways. Whether shareholders are interested in the intricacies of the Ahtna language, the dynamics of Native business management, or the detailed world of accounting, this scholarship aims to support their educational journey.
The scholarship is open to all Ahtna shareholders who meet the eligibility criteria. To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution and be pursuing an Occupational Endorsement Certificate. This program is ideal for those looking to quickly gain expertise in specific fields, whether to advance in their current careers or to explore new professional opportunities.
The creation of this scholarship reflects Ahtna’s commitment to empowering its shareholders through education and skill development. By providing financial support for OEC programs, Ahtna aims to help shareholders achieve their educational and career goals, enhancing the overall well-being and prosperity of the Ahtna community.
“We believe that education is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth,” said Tracy Parent, a Shareholder Advocate with Ahtna’s Shareholder Enrichment Department. “This new scholarship program allows our shareholders to access specialized training and certifications that can open doors to new opportunities. Whether they are looking to enhance their current skillset or explore a new career path, this scholarship supports our shareholders in achieving their aspirations.”
Applications for the certificate-based scholarship are now open, and interested shareholders are encouraged to apply. Detailed information about the application process, eligibility requirements, and deadlines can be found on Ahtna’s official website or by contacting the Ahtna’s Shareholder Enrichment Department directly.
