It is official! The State of Alaska has named May 31 as Katie John Day. The Ahtna Board of Directors, shareholders, staff, and Katie John’s family would like extend our deepest thank you to Senator Click Bishop, Representative Neal Foster, Governor Mike Dunleavy, John Harris, the Alaska Federation of Natives, the ANCSA Regional Association, and all who testified in favor of Katie John Day. Family and friends celebrated in Katie’s honor on May 31 in Mentasta.
