Where are you originally from?
In what City/State do you currently live?
How did you feel when you heard you had been named an Ahtna Employee of the Year?
In a few words… shocked, grateful, and… again, shocked.
What made you want to work for the Ahtna family of companies?
To be honest I hadn’t applied to work for Ahtna, I was available at the right time with the right credentials for a position as a project engineer. In hindsight, I believe I would have initially appreciated Ahtna’s focus on subsistence living.
What do you love most about your job and the work you do?
What I love most about my job is also the most challenging aspect of it, travel. While it’s tough to be away from home, it’s balanced by the fact that I get to see so many neat places: Yakutat, Sitka, Attu, Adak, Cordova. Additionally, many project sites show a history from WWII which I would have never seen otherwise. I’m grateful for the opportunities I have here.
