FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Anchorage, Alaska – To assist shareholders who are experiencing severe economic distress as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trustees of Ahtna Hwt-anene (People’s) Trust have declared a special shareholder distribution of $10.00 per share. The distribution will be made to all shareholders of record as of February 8, 2020 and will be non-taxable.
Shareholders: Our Glennallen and Anchorage offices are not open this week and due to reduced staff availability, please refrain from calling with questions regarding the distribution. Details, including the distribution date, will be posted on the Ahtna website (www.ahtna.com) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Ahtna.Inc) as soon as they are available. The earliest the checks will be processed is late March/early April. Direct deposits will be received the fastest with mailed checks arriving a few days later per regular mail delivery.

The deadline for address and direct deposit changes is Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Shareholders can update their contact information using the shareholder portal (MyAhtna.com) or by emailing Shareholder Services at shservices@ahtna.net.*
Shareholders are strongly encouraged to sign up for direct deposit, the fastest and more reliable method to receive dividends. By choosing direct deposit, you will receive your funds faster than by mailed check. Risk of lost or stolen check is also eliminated. Signing up is easy and convenient.
