Anchorage, Alaska – Last year, the Trustees of Ahtna Hwt’aene (People’s) Trust agreed to provide two dividend distributions per year. The Trustees have declared the Spring Shareholder dividend distribution for the year of $6 per share. The distribution will be made to all shareholders of record as of February 16, 2024.

In addition, the second quarterly Elder dividend distribution of $875 per eligible Elder as of February 16, 2024, was declared. Since 2009, an Elder distribution has been provided to original Ahtna shareholders that are age 62 and older. The Officers, Directors and Management of Ahtna are honored to serve our shareholders and are delighted to declare the issuance of quarterly Elder distributions.

Distributions are scheduled to be direct deposited on April 19. On average, direct deposits usually take one to three business days to clear. Checks will be mailed on May 3rd and received a few days later per regular mail delivery.

The Shareholder and Elder distributions are both non-taxable to the Shareholders.
