A fire ban is in effect on Ahtna lands until further notice. The National Weather Service issued a “red flag warning” for a large portion of Southcentral Alaska due to hot and windy weather that could fuel the rapid ignition and spread of fires (Red flag warning issued for wide swath of Southcentral Alaska heading into weekend).

Please do your part to keep Ahtna lands and the public safe by reporting any fires you see by taking action and immediately calling 911. Any fires located on Ahtna land should also be reported to the Ahtna, Inc. Land Department in Glennallen at (907) 822-3476. Thank you for your cooperation. Tsin’aen.
