NOAA IDIQ O&M of the Western Regional Center
Seattle, Washington
Ahtna Environmental, Inc., (Ahtna) provided staff augmentation and mass-recruitment efforts for the 24/7 operation and maintenance of National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) facilities located in the greater Seattle area. As part of the contract transition process, Ahtna developed and implemented a staffing plan to identify, recruit, and place more than 25 technical, trade and field staff in a 60-day period.
The staffing plan included a transition plan for a small number of staff, which were employed under the incumbent’s contract. Ahtna was responsible for recruiting and hiring all remaining positions, which included position advertisement, interviewing, background screening, onboarding, and training.
Ahtna was praised for our low-risk solution for the client. The team provided NOAA with a sequenced milestone plan to transition the contract and maintain uninterrupted, 24/7 service to all nine facilities identified in the scope of work. Additionally, Ahtna’s established planning, control, and communication processes (which were developed for previous NOAA and federal contracts) ensured confidence in the team’s ability to seamlessly deliver the work product and service. Our integrated project management procedures provide a common platform for planning and executing O&M assigned tasks to satisfy inspection, maintenance, cost, schedule, safety, and quality requirements.
